Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to your questions!
Are the used containers in good condition?
All used containers are refurbished in our workshops. “Used in good condition” means that each container has been carefully inspected for:
Watertightness
Flooring
Doors
Sheet metal
Each container also comes with a valid CSC plate, making it suitable for export and maritime transport.
What is a one-way container?
A “last voyage” container, also called an “unrepaired container sold as is,” is a container that has not been serviced in our workshops. It is therefore not compliant for maritime transport. With a worn appearance, this type of container is nearing the end of its lifespan.
What is the price of a container?
Container prices vary depending on several factors, including type, appearance, and condition. For detailed pricing, please visit our shop to see current container prices.
Where can I find a used shipping container?
Containers, whether new or used, are stored in our depots in Le Havre, Lyon, Marseille, Fos-sur-Mer, and Antwerp (Belgium). Transport departs from the depot closest to you.
Is it possible to see the containers?
Our warehouses are located in port areas under customs control, so public access is not permitted.
How can I secure my used shipping container?
You can secure your container by adding a padlock or secure lock. For more details, see our article: Depositing and Securing Your Container.
What is the difference between a “new” and a “one-trip” container?
A new container and a one-trip container are essentially the same. The term “one-trip container” refers to a container that has made a single journey from the manufacturing plant in Asia to Europe. Therefore, the term “new container” cannot strictly be used.

Internal dimensions: 12.03 m × 2.35 m × 2.39 m
Volume: 67.7 m³

What is a CSC plate?
The CSC plate (Container Safety Convention certificate) proves that the container is seaworthy and complies with international standards for maritime transport.
Do I need a building permit to install a container?
We recommend checking with your local town council to confirm whether permission is required to place the container.
What can I place my container on?
No special requirements are needed; the ground must simply be stable and level. For added convenience, you may place the container on a concrete slab, cinder blocks, rails, or similar supports.
Is it possible to get a used 10-foot container?
Used 10-foot storage containers are rarely available. Most containers are European-made and not used in maritime transport.
Is it possible to choose the color of a used shipping container?
Used containers are delivered in batches, so it is not possible to select a specific color. However, for orders of multiple units, we do our best to select containers from the same batch to ensure a uniform appearance.
What does “dry container” mean?
A “dry” container is a standard container used for general cargo, as opposed to a refrigerated container.
Placing a container on private land
It is possible to place a container on private land without prior authorization, subject to any local regulations or planning requirements.
